The former headquarters for the Foodlink property at 936 Exchange St. was donated by the City of Rochester as a site for murals & public art projects. This mural was part of a larger beautification initiative for the Plymouth-Exchange area in southwest Rochester. I was very excited to be chosen as an artist for this project! I painted this large-scale mural on 22″ x 7″ feet of wall space.
The Plymouth-Exchange Neighborhood Association, also known as PL-EX, discussed their need for an image that symbolized the unity and generational bond that characterizes their neighborhood. Large-scale work gives me a way to amplify my vision on a larger scale, while both enhancing and sharing it with the local communities.
