Why I Create Murals

I am passionate about art!  I believe that art plays a strong role in enriching the human experience, and it encourages people to make amazing connections between themselves, the world, and each other. As a professional artist, I collaborate with organizations, property managers, business owners, and interior designers to produce meaningful and visually impactful artwork.

In 2009, I went to Costa Rica and was blown away by the abundance of large, colorful murals.  Vibrant, large-scale artwork energized public spaces and enlivened city streets, sparking my interest to start painting murals.

I create murals because its sheer size seems to strengthen the message of a picture, impacting viewers more powerfully than the same image would on a regular-sized canvas.  Because of this impact, a mural can maximize communication about an environment’s ideas and values. My artistic goal is to visualize big ideas, and translate those ideas into a bold visual statement.
